Pharmacy Technician Position
We are looking for a dedicated energetic detail-oriented part/full time pharmacy technician.
Experience is preferred but not required.
Requirements:
• Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills with special emphasis
on effective telephone correspondence with a customer-first attitude
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work cooperatively with both pharmacist and technicians
• Exhibit the utmost professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with patients
and their health information.
• Must be willing to work evenings possibly weekend
Daily Responsibilities
• Accurately typing and filling of prescriptions
• Answer customer questions and help resolve customer issues in a timely and
professional manner
• Order, receive, tag, and stock prescription drugs and supplies
• Respond to requests from patients and doctors via phone, fax and email
• Dealing with third party rejections and effectively resolving them
• Maintain prescription prioritization throughout prescription processing
• Translate SIG codes, product selection, counting and measuring drugs, capping and
uncapping vials and bottles
• Adhere to workflow and ensure quality assurance standards are always maintained
• Pull outdated, damaged, and recalled merchandise and prepare for return
• Assist with putting away drug order
• Check prices and be knowledgeable about the location of items in the store
• Other duties assigned by management.
